I'm not unaware of the reality that most entertainers are degenerate lowlifes and the Romans had it right when they treated entertainers as akin to prostitutes. This applies to most "based" content creators too, including and especially tradthots.
But I feel conflicted about MM, because on the one hand, she's pretty entertaining, and can actually communicate pretty well the message to normies that love and acceptance are two very different things. She can even communicate the idea that SJW shit is Satanic without looking totally insane, and I say that as an agnostic.
However, being that she's unmarried and childless in her late thirties, and has a bunch of tattoos and dresses in a low-key provocative way, I can't take her seriously at all. It would be one thing if her brand of anti-SJW content was coming from a lolbertatian direction, as at least lolberts are honest degenerates. But she gives normielib manchildren like Asmongold a valid point when he bashes her for clearly not living the strict conservative Christian values she preaches.
She also gives me closeted lesbian vibes, which would make her behavior suddenly make a lot of sense lol. Someone like her could have easily gotten a high-value man when she was young, and her infatuation with Lara Croft and tomboyish characteristics gives me the impression that she's a connoisseur of carpets behind closed doors.
Which again, I wouldn't even care about if she was honest about the kind of person she is. I'm not even saying that I doubt her sincerity as a Christian, at least not anymore than any other prominent Christians on social media, and she probably has a lot of guilt over her likely love of pussy, and her womanchild lifestyle. But the contradiction is so blatantly obvious that even normies can pick up on it, which is a shame since, again, she has a knack for explaining certain points in a way that normies can understand.
Though maybe I'm just being autistic about this and no one really cares if they're already receptive to her message.
Also, before anyone accuses me of being a simp, I've never sent her a cent, or commented on any of her videos. Although I would absolutely hit it if I could.
When I was in College, I was in a class called "world views". It was a class in the domain of "humanities" or "philosophy", and it was mandatory to get credits in a few of them.
So in one of the earlier classes, the teacher paired us in groups, and gave us a list of short descriptions of people. There was a scientist, a doctor, a pregnant woman, a baby, etc, and you had to classify them in the order in which you would save them from a fire, assuming that they were all passed out and you could only carry one at once. So we talked, and we rated them in an order. After that, the teacher added some more details to the characters. The scientist was a smoker, the baby had a birth defect, the pregnant woman was an alcoholic, etc, and you had to order them again, and then compare the two lists and explain your decisions to the class.
So there was this one guy, in one of the groups. Apparently, he argued and pushed extremely hard for the smoker to be basically dead last in his group's list, because he smoked. He was saying that he was already on the verge of death, that saving him would be pointless, and that he deserved to die. Well, as soon as the class finished, his group was really surprised when they saw him pull out a pack of cigarettes, place one on his ear, and then walk out.
The point of the anecdote is to say that you don't necessarily need to live in a certain way to be able to recognize and preach a different lifestyle than your own. I know basically nothing about the person you mentioned, but it could be the case for her. For me, I'm an atheist, but that doesn't mean that I can't recognize how horrible of an effect atheism has had on society, or that I can't recognize how much better off the West was when they shared a common set of values in the form of Christianism. I wish I still lived in a nation like that, even if I personally can't get myself to believe that a god exists.
You're overthinking all the whole thing. The answer is "it doesn't matter."
This is not someone you know IRL. This is not someone you are friends with. Just assume that all "influencers" are playing a part. You're either interested in watching them play that part or you're not. That's it.
With that out of the way, self-describing as Christian (even outside the influencer sphere) in the US is so broad as to tell you very little about anyone. It covers everyone from the strictest Jehovah's Witness from the Only Fans girl who wears a cross.
But again, you're not trying to decide if you'd date her or something. You either want to watch that content or you don't. That's as deep as your "relationship" with an influencer goes.
Yes, ultimately it doesn't affect my decision to consoom their content or not, plenty of absolutely horrible people are highly entertaining after all.
I'm just commenting on her effectiveness for communicating with normies, because she's very non-threatening from a normie standpoint, and can even get away with saying faggot in a way that edgy nerds and bros never could. Female privilege can be used for good, although it usually isn't.
But as I mentioned in OP, it's not just the (possible) hypocrisy in itself, it's the conspicuous appearance of hypocrisy, since tradcon types are known for being really hostile towards gaming. Although I probably am overthinking it.
If she's being genuine, she's simply an outlier. With what are we at now, 8 or 9 billion people, there will be a few that don't fit the mold.
Not that uncommon, there are plenty of REALLY effeminate guys that are straight and goths that are cheery as fuck.
Never trust any woman. She is willing to call a faggot a faggot though, so I do give her some points for that.
I read her as someone who bought into the lie of feminism when she was younger, and is pissed off now that she sees through it and is too old to do anything about it, so she became a born again Christian.
That makes a lot of sense, now I feel sorry for her damn.
It's not necessarily what happened. Just my hunch.
Conversely, I think a lot of people, whether man or woman, do sometimes hit a point in their life where they find themselves a little tired of a flippant lifestyle and want to try to find something more meaningful.
Not that I'd even claim that this is true in her case. I merely mention it as a consideration for people in general. Sometimes it's easy to get swept up in a (exceedingly justified) cynical attitude, to the point to where you assume almost everyone's a self-serving and calculating sociopath.
Although like I said, where money and attention might be a big part of the game, I will usually bring my cynicism to the forefront.
MelonieMac is an egirl / attention-seeker, and while she's better than many other women that are actively prostituting themselves online, you should always view women like her skeptically.
I think you're being overly finicky and critical on specific details when there's a simpler reason not to trust her: There's a distinctly likely possibility that she's putting on a show largely for the money and attention. This is why I'll ignore most Youtubers who "suddenly" start gaining massive attention while merely repeating the same shit everyone else is spouting.
Unless someone's offering some really unique perspective or uncovering some serious dirt, or at the VERY least have some legitimate creativity, style, or cleverness to their "content", I'm not giving them the time of day.
Personally, I don't watch her vids, but I did see Gundam's Quality Content stream last week which had her as a guest. If you're that curious, you could skim that stream; iirc, she talked a bit about her past, something about being married for 6 years but it didn't work out etc.
She doesn't strike me as a "covert lesbian", from what I have seen, although I do admit that I have obviously watched much less than you or the others commenting here...
That wouldn't have been my assumption.
Same with Sydney Watson, who, while obviously not really a conservative/adjacent with our values here, does make good points sometimes.
But she's also mid-30s, and also single and childless. But I am very confident that she is not a lez.
But then I also can't get over the fact that I used to know a girl (and by know, I mean "know well") who had almost exactly the same name as Melonie (different spellings), and it weirds me out every time I see this girl mentioned/pop up, lol...

She's in her late 30s? Thought she was in her 20s. Doesn't act like she's in her late 30s.
You're right, though, I've always wondered why she is not married and with child? Even Lauren Chen knew to get hitched so she at least lives according to the principles she preaches.
I'm not sure why her age, sexuality or lack of children are of any importance to you.
She could very well be a Christian and/or conservative and those three points I mentioned wouldn't have any bearing on those outlooks.
Walking the walk is a huge part of having credibility. Most people aren't autists like us who simply examine ideas on their own merits, having role-models is really important so people have a tangible idea of how to actually practice a given moral code. Hypocrisy implies that the moral code being preached is unrealistic.
You ever met a woman who is unable to have children?
You ever met a woman who lost her love to death?
You ever met a woman who was happy to grow old alone?
I'm not sure why Melonie has to give her backstory to strangers on the Internet who aren't forced to watch her but if you feel you must watch her why don't you message her and see if she's willing to open up as to why she is who she is and does what she does.
I'm not actually a fan of hers as her pace is too slow and there is lots of repetition in what she says but I just don't watch her very often. That said I don't think her lifestyle is anything I'd comment upon because I don't know, or want to know, her circumstances.
Okay this is a good point.
