Is there ever really any logic to it?
We've talking about people who think labor has value. Logic is a few off ramps past.
Do you mean "Emotional Labor?"
Because Labor really does have value. People pay for it every day.
Nope, labor in and of itself is of zero intrinsic value. For labor to have value it must be wanted, warranted and result in a positive outcome, otherwise it is inherently worthless.
As in: "I worked hard so I deserve money!"?
You are correct, Labor must be part of a value-added step.
The idea that Labor was, in and of itself, valuable is just so divorced from reality as to have never occurred to me. The value-added step is valuable, and then only insofar as it adds value. This often requires physical work.
I get what you're preaching but you're doing it in a very reductive way. Not all labor is worthless just as not all labor has value. There is always neuance.
