Had to go to Vancouver once in the before times, the amount of Chinese tourist dick sucking was almost unreal. Everyone local I talked to said 'yea things are different now' and couldn't believe that since 2000-ish everything got bought up and prices dramatically rose.
Then during wu-flu this port stayed open the longest (was told they also do all their customs there, even if you are going elsewhere in canada) probably allowing hundreds of thousands if not more to flee the commie crackdown and also bring death to the elderly / infirm.
Then there's the trucker riots and how every middle class fucko immediately turned from 'oh soory m8' to a petty tyrant because loud=bad.
So yea..... I'm not thinking they'll have the balls to step up and do a civil unrest, would be happy to be wrong though.
