It's honestly for the best the conversation board was taken down. The group/curator has one real purpose, and as long as that remains uncompromised, we win. Bad actors and false flags are a real liability.

Im guessing a bit of both but I would bet a lot of money kotaku "writers" were in there posting the equivalent of poorly drawn swastikas and then screenshotting for upcoming articles that 15 people will read.
As a bonus, the haters are probably very triggered that they can't make themselves heard on the group right now. They feel it is a necessity and fundamental right that they control every possible free speech outlet that exists.
Absolutely. I've joined the group and followed the curator list. I think it's right they killed the discussion board on Steam. We've here, Reddit and other places for that kind of thing.

Silencing the group is good. If he did not do that "the tolerant left" would have given it the reddit treatment.
