I would agree in a high trust society. However all that would happen with a tax break society currently is that the dregs would keep the money, then demand someone else educate their child for free. School vouchers at least removes the public education plague and allows for invested interests like charter schools to fill the gaps for people who can’t or won’t homeschool. Parental involvement will always be king, but in our current society we need some mitigating factors as a stepping stone.
Okay, how about a voucher system where homeschooling is one of the voucher options but this option is only available to married people with family incomes above $100k/yr.
all school choice vouchers do is shift blacks to middle class white schools and make them worse, and then the original students from that school will have to use the voucher to go somewhere whiter. a majority white school regardless of community income level will always be better than majority black school because they don't have to deal with violent disruptive apes
Not necessarily true, what a school voucher incentivizes is the ability for a parent at any year to shift their child to where they deem best. Based on what I’ve seen for the charter school data Sowell has pumped out recently is that simply getting away from the public school plague is a stepping stone for everyone. The vouchers also allow for anyone capable of higher learning to have an advantage as their parents will likely add more funds to attend a private school. This kills the current system of “public funding” and mass school bonds to fix the “quota”
