From what I remember reading that armour was an intentional decision to "fight the Patriarchy" by making the armour look like testicles. That's the level of maturity in the writing room.
Also, the ironic thing is the Nilfgaardians are often called "The Black Ones" because of their near all black aesthetics and I wish someone at Netflix had been retarded enough to try and use that term for a group that was cast to be almost entirely white because they were "the bad guys".
Maybe that's even too far for the idiots at Netflix to try and float.
As soon i saw the casting for Yen and Triss, i knew the show would be a wokefest, not even worth the bandwidth to pirate.

The only people who praised it were the people who praise all this slop.
There was just no real interest in people countering the narrative because no one cared about it otherwise. Its "problems" were bland and mediocre compared to the other shit coming out that made for much better controversy.
Compared to things like Watchmen, its a giant nothing burger that no one cared about. It was only watched for women to masturbate to, and it faded instantly from public memory once released.

I stopped after season 1 and felt like I dodged a bullet. 1 great actor dedicated to the source material isn't enough to hold up a show where the entire production team are ideologically bent on destroying it.

I like him as an actor but they just need to give up on the Witcher. I’d love to see a faithful adaptation. I have the books in my stack to read. I’m gonna be blunt here…. I’ve been reading sci-fi and fantasy since childhood when it comes to sci-fi the main reading audience tends to be white and Asian males. I’d say with fantasy it’s more 50/50 with men and women. Out of the black people I’ve seen reading sci-fi it’s almost 100% male. With fantasy I’m not so sure. Stop trying to cater to black people with these shows. The black nerds who were already interested probably were going to watch a non race swapped show. Honestly the best response to any whining about a show being too white is simply “write your own story” or “go find a story that suits you”.
You don’t expand your audience by deforming the source material
I’ve seen a few in the sci-fi world. Although comic books tend to attract males anyway. Growing up my comic book friends were mostly white but you had sprinkling in of other races. I defer to your knowledge on anime since I really didn’t deep dive until fairly recently
