I was talking to a friend when we got onto the subject about diversity. We both worked in academia and talked about how there was a hard push for diversity.
Right after Mao Zhe Dong passed mainland China has to rebuild their entire white shirt class. Engineers, doctors, and more had been killed or tortured for not being communist enough. So the country spent money sending as many young men to school as they could. Whole engineering departments at schools were Chinese only. The school could charge a ton of extra money for these students, and then rent for housing, and then food.
At this same time places like Fiji, Samoa, the Phillipines, and Nigeria had students going to America to study. The schools that accepted them made tons of money off of it. One of the schools I was at had Saudi Arabians. They worked in oil fields until they had the money to go to school, and they spent it with pleasure.
With tons of students coming from other countries, the schools began to make a lot of extra money. They also ran into a weird issue where the foreign students had no interests in stuff like Anthropology, history, or communications. I studied in Hawaii for one of my degrees and there were tons of native Hawaiians, and a very white female student body for anthropology. So the teachers changed the narrative on how to study. You can't call a Hawaiian foreign when he's taking a class with you. So they changed the narrative to that of conciliation over what they had done beforehand. The narrative itself didn't change, white people were still dominant amazing people, but suddenly this was a bad thing.
White regular students began to demand diversity, and the schools were raking it in from those foreign students. So they changed everything to be pro foreign. Then the foreign took over the departments. The conciliation narrative changed again, and it stopped saying white people were powerful.
Even today, schools will do everything to get those foreign students because of all the money they will get from it. They also tell the more common students to not offend the foreign ones. Teachers promote it to get more foreign students, and because white students accepted it.
And now we're here
Used to be the local school was the only way to put single women over thirty to use. The giving an apple to the teacher thing has a basis in historical reality. Your kid brought some food to the teacher because that's how she got paid. If the town didn't like her they burned her house down and chased her out into the wilderness.
And for some reason things got flipped to the point where a job that is the female equivalent of ditch digging and shit shoveling, a job you only ever did if you were a failure at the basic aspects of life, started being lionized and treated like heroes.
It was a satanic inversion. One of the first to plague modern civilizations.
Sounds like paradise. Every time I see a Strong Independent whore complain about men I become more convinced that witch burnings served a valuable societal purpose.
So somewhat like the one room school house you see in Little House on the Prairie
Yeah basically. Whatever else her flaws, Wilder was largely accurate to prairie life in her writings.
Recently found some of those books at a yard sale. My grandmother loved that show but as a kid I thought it was corny. Now I love it. I happily watch Leave it to Beaver and similar shows because it’s refreshing to see a traditional nuclear family celebrated. I get things do t always work out but that’s the ideal
Heh, I can empathize, even if my tastes in this sort of thing go a bit further back.
Any recommendation would be appreciated
GA Henty. Probably the second best historical fiction writer besides Bernard Cornwell himself.
Thanks!
It was certainly pushed on me when I was in high school. I went to a "good" public school full of spoiled rich kids, so they were very concerned about jacking up the percentage of graduates who went to college. Whether they dropped out by the end of September didn't concern them nearly as much. They bragged that it was 93% at my graduation. The counseling office sent me a note some time during senior year badgering me about college because they hadn't received any transcript requests. I went to community college right out of high school, so I could have applied a week before classes started and attended without issue. Had I realized it was all about their precious stats back then I would have held off on applying until after graduation.
That is under the assumption that those that push for it did it for money and not ideology. I think that is incorrect, ideology runs everything and diversity is a thing because of mass immigration giving diversity power, a lot of power.
The ones who manage to land grifter positions tend to be paid quite well. The problem is there aren't nearly enough grifter positions for all the retards getting these fake degrees.
I’ve never heard about this but makes sense. In high school I was good friends with a Danish foreign exchange student and there was a girl from New Zealand and another from Peru. When I was 5we had a foreign exchange student stay with us for a few weeks. He was Norwegian or Swedish I think
Every idea that our society has pathologically implemented has some application where it is useful.
Diversity of thought is useful in academia. Which isn't to say that universities should accept infinite foreign students or tenured professors, but they should provide a forum where foreign ideas can be discussed and debated while ultimately still benefitting the native population which is paying the bills.
Similarly strict procedural bureaucracies are useful in large organizations where it's not possible to run purely on interpersonal relationships, but I wouldn't want my wife to give me a performance review the way an HR manager would.
The nuance of things has been stripped from life more and more over time. No one remembers why the form exists or what problems it existed to solve, but they enforce it with zeal.
It was always pushed at the top-level down. Owners of capital wanted cheaper labor so they could profit. The more you increase your labor supply the cheaper the price of labor. The cheaper your labor, the more capital profits. Business leaders and thus politicians and their friends pushed for immigration specifically for this reason. They used indoctrination in the schools to try to force the public to accept it and schools also benefited from immigration but schools weren't the primary driver of it. Schools are a tool of the elite to shape the public in the manner they want rather than the institution that shapes the elite's decisions.
We know. All marxism spreads through education institutions. That's the only place one can indoctrinate naïve minds with theoretical nonsense that won't work in practice.
Paolo Friere is the guy that started it all. "it" being marxists doing the long march through the institutions, step 1. Education.
