I don't even get why they're so alarmed by incels in particular.

Disgruntled, fighting-age men with nothing to live for and nothing to lose are how revolutions happen.

Not really, a new elite class challenging an old one or outside meddling are what tends to cause them. Disgruntled peasant revolts get put down easily.
