Don't be obtuse, it's a yearly benefit program, like welfare anywhere else.

https://www.npr.org/2023/06/15/1182428154/germany-holocaust-survivors-payment-1-4-billion-nazi-victims

The payments stem from annual negotiations between Germany's Federal Ministry of Finance and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, an organization representing Jewish Holocaust survivors also known as the Claims Conference.

The benefits are regularly negotiated and increased.

Then these people have been BS'ing. Because OP (a guy who is openly pro-Nazi) claimed that Germany is not allowed to question claims, which is false, and that Germany "has to pay", which is also false - even you say here that the numbers are negotiated. They're trying to buy indulgences for their crimes.

The US paid reparations to victims of Japanese internment - people who actually suffered losses - decades ago. Why exactly is this such an outrage?

They're trying to buy indulgences for their crimes.

Nobody alive and paying taxes today has committed any crimes against Jews in Germany. Fuck that noise.

You won't find any disagreement from me, but this is the reason why they're doing it. They're trying to cleanse their image, unfortunately successfully, which is why Germany is now seen as a benign country when it really is not.
