I love feminist propaganda articles like this because if it turns even one woman away from marriage then it will have done more to prevent divorce rape than the MRAs have in 50 years.

Gen Xers and millennials started their relationships using big words like “equal partnership” and “co-parenting”. The men we married promised they were more emotionally mature than our fathers, more willing to change diapers and cooperate with our work schedules. Our understanding of commitment is markedly different from that of our parents, too; ethical non-monogamy and polyamory have become more common relationship structures, even within heterosexual marriages.

In other words women stopped having any enforceable responsibilities in marriage (like not cucking the guy who's paying her bills) and men lost access to the benefits in addition to having the responsibility of both sexes dumped on them.

I sheltered in place for years, just to emerge still stuck with a man who thinks “brown” is an acceptable bed sheet color? Please. I have a sense of propriety.

Remember, there's no reasonableness test that she has to satisfy before she shoves the family court baseball bat up your ass. Even a minor disagreement about bed sheet colors results in the most extreme punishments in family court.

And since Roe v Wade was overturned in 2022, rightwing loudmouths like Steven Crowder and Tim Pool and conservative politicians have set their sights on ending no-fault divorce. For them, “irreconcilable differences” isn’t a possible path out of a bad relationship, it’s an omen.

Of course it's an omen. It's only a way out of the relationship for the woman. The man is stuck in it for life, working himself into an early grave to pay her bills while the court system obeys every whim of someone who's bent on making his life a living hell. Nothing terrifies feminists more than the end of their family court scam.

In their pitiful defense, Republicans should be worried: married men are healthier, live longer, have lower risks for depression, and are more likely to have better cognitive function as they get older than unmarried men.

If these con artists hated marriage as much as they claim to they wouldn't keep peddling this dishonest study. As I've said a million times, the study lumps divorced men in with never married men. Ex wives make divorced men so miserable that they bring down the average of unmarried men. If marriage was as bad for women as they make it out to be they wouldn't be constantly complaining about the lack of available chumps to scam.

So close... Maybe that means that men and women are different, and that deciding the "bed sheet colour" is something best left for women? What does it matter if your husband sucks at choosing the bed sheet colour, when you are there to 'correctly' choose the bed sheets for your family?

Shudder. Couldn't be. Dividing labour in marriage and society is according to what each sex does best is anti-feminist.
