Russia made a concerted effort to limit civilian casualties even as Ukrainians were setting up shop in hospitals. For Russia’s efforts, they were simultaneously accused - by mainstream western media - of being the greatest monsters of all time and losing the war because “too slow”.
Meanwhile, Israel embraces civilian casualties as they recklessly mass target hospitals and other infrastructure, literally mostly killing women and children in order to get at the military targets hiding behind them, which is something that has never been okay in modern military conflicts. What do the press do? Ignore these behaviors. Because if you’re Jewish, or a western government acting on behalf of Jews, it doesn’t matter how you accomplish your objectives.

"The presence or movements of the civilian population or individual civilians shall not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations, in particular in attempts to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield, favour or impede military operations. The Parties to the conflict shall not direct the movement of the civilian population or individual civilians in order to attempt to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield military operations."
