Most people here understood that this was a bad change and that it was done for political correctness reasons. Unfortunately when i posted about the change on other forums even right wing leaning ones, a lot didn't understand what the big deal was or they even said they preferred the change.
It feels like the West has gotten so used to strong female types they've forgotten how to appreciate the actual feminine female characters.

That's how subversion and inculcation works. You get beat over the head with it enough for a long enough time and then it just becomes "normal".
Way too many people in the West have become like this.
