Damn thing is, where I grew up was kind of ORGANICALLY a 15 minute arrangement, because the city grew up as a bunch of neighbourhoods that were built around factories, which also had neighbourhood markets, pharmacies, schools, etc. I think we only drove to a supermarket maybe once a month when I was a kid, and downtown (itself a 20 minute walk) was where the Kresge's and other stores were until they built the fucking mall on what was at the time the edge of town.
Commercial streets were always close by, and the concept of an "industrial park" was foreign to me until I moved away ...
It was my job to do the gofering from the time I was old enough to cross the street by myself/take myself to school. I walked there and back, and had to come home for lunch, too.
And the bus was once useful, but they cut service every time they raised the damn fares ...
There's a third one, too, in my old neighbourhood, across from the first (another high school) that looks pretty much the same. A lot of the city was built in the 1920s during a big (neo?)-Gothic Architecture kind of craze.
The marble floors and staircases inside were nice, though.
Oh I want to turn the Castles into schools/daycare facilities, need to keep the kids away from those that DID get through that.
Plus, how fucking awesome would it be if your school was a Castle?
Sounds like something taken out of isekai anime.
It's the UK, if you see some of their University buildings it's not that farfetched to have castles instead.
Mine kind of looked like castles .... or prisons ...

First one, maybe a prison
The second looks like an old school insane asylum!
