I absolutely despise that term. Without people's consent they try to shove people into some "marginalized" category based on their own political preconceptions, and then they attempt to use it for political gain.
Also, "marginalized" seems to imply an active act, not necessarily just an outcome. So you could argue the "privileged" groups like men or whites are more marginalized, since it's more socially acceptable and encouraged to, well, marginalize them.
Kind of ironic, if you try to actually marginalize a "marginalized" group, everyone jumps down your throat. Clearly, these groups that the current system protects to unreasonable degrees are the real victims, the real underclass.
