that community note is a rather pathetic attempt at a sick leftist burn. community notes are supposed to be added when the tweet is misleading or fallacious. this one refutes something that wasn't said or even hinted at
it does. tweets for you on your personal 'for you' page (which every normie uses). direct advertisement tweets. when I used to use twitter I would block every single one of them.
That explains things, thanks for the info, going by this then he's clearly getting desperate about advertising money and maybe he's made promises to people in the background.
Whenever you see a company doing something weird online and potentially unpopular, there's almost certainly a financial reason you can sniff out and it usually involves advertising to one degree or another. Another thing he's doing which was posted on this site is planning on forcing users to sign up with photograph and government ID so this will probably be him trying to prove the users are real to advertisers to get them to come back. Possible this is to do with compliance to glowies and new regulation as well that I've been warning about.
Let people block others. Let blocked people still see content from those who have blocked them and post to the content of those who have blocked them. As well as let others see the posts of blocked people to those who have blocked them.
All blocking someone should do is stop you from seeing their posts. That's it.
I hate living in the timeline where this is a thing.
The only thing that I hate more is that there are executives that actually believe this thing is a boon.
Maybe Nostr is the best option?

It's probably just to stop people from blocking ads.
Just configure your adblock and add those ads to it.

It's pretty simple stuff Elon.
That's what the mute function does. It's already a feature. It has been for god knows how long.
Then that's all that's needed. If Mute still exists and Elon is just removing block then Elon is doing a good thing.
If AOC mutes me - Does Mute stop me from being seen by followers of AOC when I reply to her tweets?
New speedrun challenge.
My understanding is that it doesn't, but I'm not 100% sure.
No, mute only effects the person who mutes. AOC won't see your tweets, everyone else will unless they also have you muted.
Thanks!
