Cool beans Fedboys, I didn't know Fascism was in vogue now
(Joking aside, the back-and-forth information sharing has been going on since probably the Bush Admin and certainly with the PRISM program under Obama, it's just entirely mask-off now)
So with an ongoing court case about the feds using social media to censor people, we get this. Sounds like an attempt to keep doing the same thing but using "national security" and secrecy as a shield.
“… and academia” is the scariest part. The like CIA will be able to make wild declarations, “academia” will use them as a source, and then ultimately the CIA and everyone else will insist the science is settled whenever anyone disagrees with the CIA. Haha I guess they’re doing that now but it sounds like it’ll get worse
That is basically how the government, media, and politicians have smeared Twitter since Musk took over, and how they stop up and coming populist opponents from emerging. Instead of directly attacking someone, they'll fund "research" that shows how "hate speech is on the rise" and Person/Group X is benefiting from that "hate speech". Then the research is used by people in charge to say "oh this is very troubling, we can't allow this to continue".
Basically political campaign research and propaganda is becoming a standard part of academia.

Spy agencies are the major new threat (ok, a 70 year old threat but they've been a lot more blatant about it the last 5-10 years). Change my mind.
Atleast back then they didn't have instant access to every person's house through Spyware tech.
Social media will soon be ONLY spy agencies trying to manipulate each other

Shameless information laundering.
Lol the fusion centers they have won't even share with local law enforcement but they're eager to share with the private sector 🤔🤔🤔🤔

They're just telling you about it now, but they've been doing it since day one I'd wager.
to the winds
…scattered they must be, yes.
