He gets angry when people point it out to him. Even sadder, I'm fairly certain his wife will leave him for not being lefty enough.
Not that I would wish divorce upon anyone, I just want to say that there is a better life after if you do not wallow in what was lost and are willing to work for it. His faith could even be the basis for the revival.
They have to hit that wall first.
