Yep, this. Civil Rights Act said screw your freedom of association, you need to treat everyone the same. Until that goes in the bin, which I don't see happening anytime soon.
No it didn't. Even as someone who wants to repeal it, it doesn't prevent you from freely associating yourself with other. It creates a regulatory burden on businesses, wrenches a Rousseauian social contract philosophy into a Lockean constitution, and gets a foot in the door for the government to authorize race control programs; but you can still associate with people of your choosing.
A business is an association of people.
That’s a right you as an individual have: the government can’t treat you differently based on your membership in a group. That’s not the same thing that’s at issue here. This is Biden saying the government has a right to apply different standards of admission to a state school based on race, which is an issue of equal protection. it doesn’t implicate freedom of association in anyway.
