I like the disparity between gun crime and violent crime. apparently liberals only care about crime when it's committed with a gun, but people getting beaten up and mugged in the streets by masked thugs is apparently not an issue.
And I think we know why, too.
Only 3% of crimes committed with guns were with guns that were legally purchased. They aren't interested in stopping the other 97%. They just want to disarm you.
I've started to frame it as "disarming the peasantry" since their espoused moral framework is that of standing up for the underdog. Some of the less ideologically possessed among them show a glimmer of understanding when you phrase it that way.
