They are replacing all of the competent people with affirmative action and diversity hires and hoping that AI will be good enough in a few years to do all of the work that actually matters.
They are throwing a Hail Mary and hoping AI can catch it on the other side.
If it doesn’t, we will end up like South Africa, and nobody will ever acknowledge that it was a mistake. They will blame the collapse of civilization on racism. It’s all whitey’s fault we don’t have enough power, food, etc.
This is going to happen everywhere in the Western 'world'.

I think it's more like they are engineering this in order to have incompetence. They don't want competent advanced society. They want weak people that use fewer resources and that do what they are told.
