The federal Economic Development Department says there are more than 100,000 LGBTQ-owned and-operated businesses in Canada that employ more than 435,000 workers and generate over $22 billion in economic activity.
Yet it says one in four LGBTQ entrepreneurs have faced discrimination or lost their business because of who they are
Bullshit. This is no different from the absurd claim that 1 in 4 college students will be sexually assaulted.
The grift continues, and Canadian courts will not stand in their way.
Correct. The original statistic was "sexual assault", which despite its strong wording means "any time a man does anything a woman doesn't like, no matter how minor".
From there, they started to blur the line between sexual assault and rape, using the two as synonyms in most cases. Thus in the eyes of a normie, 1 in 4 women are raped. The data doesn't support that, but you'll never hear a feminist correct someone when they say it.
I don’t believe probably 99% of any discrimination, racism, oppression, etc claim from young people due to how trendy it is to be “oppressed”. Ask them to give you examples they go on and on about systemic racism or other vague concepts. I guess I do find a white person’s claims of discrimination or racism much more credible because there is no way they can profit from it or get fawning praise from the media
Also, they grew up being told about it. You know, when someone is shitty to you, but you assume the motivation behind it. From their point of view, maybe they are not outright lying, but they see things that never happened.
(x) to doubt very much so. 1 in 4 "have faced discrimination or lost business"? So if a singular person passes on ordering food from them over Uber Eats, it qualifies? It should be 4 in 4, because if you do any reasonable amount of business at all, someone is going to choose not to do business with you for some reason vaguely associated with identity politics, eventually.
The fact they say 1 in 4, to me, says they're manipulating the data in some way to create a "punchy" number. You say 1 in 1, 100%, and people go "well fuck your classification system, then.". You say 1 in 1000, people go "we don't care". anywhere from 1 in 5 to 2 in 5 is the "golden area" for marketing your oppression.
Well, in this day and age not completely celebrating degeneracy IS discrimination. I'm actually apalled that it's only 1 in 4. On the other hand, I figure they had to make it so that people that don't pay attention won't question it.

Ah yes, the famous “one alcoholic beverage for a woman makes her incapable of consent therefore any sexual activity is rape” study

Well they expand the definition so broadly to the point where a simply not wanting their product is discriminatory
