And they will forever slander him, as in the 'conspiracyland' podcast Carl's talking about. Mentioning him in the same breath as conspiracy theorists and white nationalists is duplicitous in and of itself, let alone the specific lies he tweeted about.
The BBC is slandering out of jealous spite. I hope they choke on it!
No wooosh to you, I got the joke, don't be a redditor and think your sense of humour is too clever and edgy for me, my point is that leftists don't understand sarcasm they're going to turn this into a whole victim scandal just like they did with his joke. Mind you, it's going to be an entertaining shit show, I won't stop you guys.
This BBC feminist is absolutely fishing around for victim points, in plain English, it's a trap. I know he can handle himself but ooooo I'd potentially keep away from this one. I think the BBC are mad after their disastrous Andrew Tate and Elon Musk interviews.
Edit: Basically I'm having major flashbacks to the media shitshow that happened before and I don't think this is going to turn out all that great.
Thanks for getting it, it's nice we can be reasonable even though we shitpost and troll each other lol. I just saw that there's some kind of Nigel/Boris alliance in the works and it's the same thing with that, it all reeks of a trap to me. Don't get me wrong though, the Conservatives being completely collapsed over this would be wonderful to see. However I'm not seeing the same thing happening to the Labour party and that makes it a dangerous situation.
I feel like there's a power play in the works at the moment and Carl is potentially going to get himself stuck in the middle of it if he isn't careful when really he should be letting these morons eat each other. When my instinct gets set off on this sort of thing I do pay attention to it because it's usually right. Stay out of this one guys or at the very least don't get invested, genuine advice. I also don't think it's a coincidence too that there's a glowie trap for American protestors on the right as well at this particular time.
I have placed a complaint with both the BBC and Ofcom.
It'll be interesting to see how this turns out as their "disinformation" commissar has been caught issuing verifiable disinformation. And quite possibly libeled and defamed poor Carl in the process.
The average Brit is almost physically incapable of not following the rules. Probably easier to just replace her, unless she's good at blowing or whatever it is that gets mid-level British bureaucrats off.
If he does plan on suing them I'm kind of hoping they run true to type and aren't objective. It helps his case if they summarily sweep it under the rug.
I hope so. Defamation works opposite how it does in the US, there you have to justify yourself if you're accused. Our worthless shit system requires the accusor to basitbe a mind reader and even then, if you're famous, you literally are exempt from defamation protection.
I like his comment here. "The BBC's Disinformation Unit has done an excellent job of disinforming the locals in Totnes, apparently. Mission accomplished."
The irony is Lotus Eaters that Carl helped to create probably has a more active and engaged audience than the BBC has currently.

That's fucking hilarious, she's so going to play the victim next and claim Carl has sent an army of misogynistic trolls after her.
They wouldn't even troll her
lol, True, but It's like the whole "I got death threats" post that game devs inevitably make when they get the vaguest criticism.
Edit: Guess my sentences need to be clearer for the semantic obsessed internet lawyers.
Woooosh
I wouldn't even "Woooosh" you.

Yeah, absolutely. You aren't going to legislate or pr your way into winning. Those are their tools and they aren't willing to share.

I'm sure they'll be objective...

Honestly, this seems like blatant enough libel to drag them into court.
I don't even think it would make it to a judge, I think they'd just have to issue a public correction and make it go away.
I’m looking forward to it airing at 3 AM Monday morning.
I don't think that means anything anymore, because everyone else can just drag it into prime time.
