I wasn't defending anything, but I may have been a bit too pretentious in regards to a reminder of them being the same entity, thinking some might only still regard Diablo as a "Blizzard" title.
You're not in a position to assess how smart someone is. This was already well documented, but now you're trying to defend ABK like they're not a substandard enterprise. It's not even the allegations of inappropriate behavior, which I doubt most people here believe, much less care about. It is an issue of product quality. It is an issue pandering on social media to degenerates. It is an issue of cutting ties with streamers for the belief that children need to be left alone. This scenario where people on this site hate ABK because of their treatment of women is entirely in your head.
Imp was a Microsoft/Activision coomer before he began his anti-feminism. You point out how gynocentric and woke those corporations are and he'll go against his own principles to simp for them.
For what it's worth (not much I know) I'm personally enjoying it so far. Wasn't even going to bother, but I had family pushing me to play. I went in with zero hype or knowledge of any trailers or interviews. Only thing I saw was the reveal, which let's be honest was awesome. Blizzard's one thing no one can argue against is their cinematics.
It feels like Diablo. It also gets dark as FUCK with some of its side content. Saw one motherfucker chained to a wall and skinned alive. And the dude was begging for more. Real Hellraiser shit. It's like the events of 3 never even happened. Only strange thing about it is how fucking lonely it feels. It's online only, because fucking of course it is... and you see other people, but no one talks. There is no world chat. There's a trade chat but again... no one talks. It's a fucking bizarre feeling. Also the skill system almost demands the player have a brain that codes for a living. A lot of "X does Y damage for 3 seconds if Z is applied to the enemy." It's a little difficult to grasp what the fuck they are even talking about.
Overall though, I'm not having any buyer's remorse. Which is the best I can say about a Blizzard title these days.
I heard it was good from many people with good taste. Honestly I don’t care what people say about it, I’ll get it at some point after I finish Tears of the Kingdom. I’m fine if people boycott CoD since it sucks anyway.
I was in the same camp, but then I realized I was stalling the game like hell because I don't really want it to end. You can only truly play a game for real once :(
One of the big problems with Diablo 3 is each 'global' chat channel was limited to 100 people.
Most gamers don't talk most of the time so it was crickets with the occasional person writing "is anybody out there?"
Contrast to PoE where you get in g1 English and feel like other people are playing the game and if you want to take a break you can just read some chat. It's always stupid or troll but better than silence.
If you want a fun experience that lasts for 2-3 weeks then yes. It's definitely good. Many of my friends like it. They will most likely stop playing the game though after 2 months.
If there is any long term stability to the game though remains to be seen. Too early to tell.
True, but it's nice to actually get some Inarius action. That must have been the most vicious hate fuck in the history of fiction, because they are both such utter assholes. I can't even begin to imagine how those two paired up in the first place.
I don't care about the whole "banned for calling gays pedos" thing.
That guy can wipe his fake tears with Brie Larson's money. I think his act is less than sincere considering his backers.
It's going to get me downvoted here, but I support Kotick and have done since the joke of a trial in CA. If only they made a racing game for me to pour money into. cough bring back Blur cough
I agree the CA trial is a witch hunt, but that doesn't change the fact that Blizzard had become toxic well before this streamer drama you've become fixated on. And that's without getting into any culture war or political stuff.
Diablo 3? Reaper of Souls made it decent but the original was bad in gameplay, in forcing always-online for single player and the ridiculous real money auction house.
Warcraft 3 reforged? Absolute trash, still rocking a 0.6 user rating on Metacritic.
WoW Classic? Virtually no support of any kind, but paid level boosts and WoW tokens get added in.
Regular WoW? Dragonflight is apparently better but Battle for Azeroth was poor and Shadowlands was rubbish.
Diablo Immortal? One of the most predatory monetary schemes around.
Overwatch 2? Players were sold a false bill of sale now that the whole point of the new game (the PvE sections) are cancelled.
Reminder that it's ACTIVISION Blizzard. The same people running Call of Duty, that have a problem with the notion of leaving little children alone.
It's ACTIVISION BLIZZARD, my dude. Don't defend Blizzard: the people that made the good games are long gone from there.

This opinion brought to you by the Brie Larson Fire Kotick Fund.
I thought people here were smarter.

Is it actually any good?

It'll probably be on Game Pass in a few months when Microsoft take full control.
Diablo isn't even in it and is barely mentioned.

Why would I want to trust Blizzard?
Can you claim buyer's remorse for a free game?
