Hardly. The average asians in asia are nothing special. Luckily for the US, immigrants from far away that come here tend to be well above the averages for their countries.
Some white mixes have their averages brought down by being the product of US military enlisted knocking up a local, or being the product of sexpats/mail away brides. Plenty of others are the children of elites.

Especially with Chinese people. Remember the whole drama with the social credit score? If you aren't valuable to the CCP you can't even leave your little mud hut village.

Eh, a lot of the older Chinese immigrants were enemies of the CCP, which makes them smarter than the average bear.
I worked with a Venezuelan dude who escaped when the Chavez meme was at its peak. He got on the bad side of the regime while the US Media was talking about Venezuela as the next great shining city on a hill, because he could see the writing on the wall.
The ones who left after oil prices crashed and the socialist meme fell apart were not anywhere near as clever.
