Cities across the US have agreed to pay out a total of more than $80m in settlements to protesters injured by police during 2020 racial justice protests – a figure experts believe is unprecedented and will rise further as many lawsuits are still playing out.
Not to the businesses burned down, the people killed, the 2 billion plus in damages, but to the protesters
All the property damage goes into the billions. Also the police injured. I also wonder how many emergency vehicles were delayed due to the morons blocking the street. But of course Jan 6 is the real problem
Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Kansas City, La Mesa (California), Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, Portland, San Jose and Washington DC and adds up to 13 cities for me.
6 unaccounted for so far, but 4.2 million USD per city if 80 million is spread out equally across all 19.
Easily enough absorbed but sets a precedence which won't disappear.
I wonder if January 6th protestors will be given the same assistance.
So a bunch of unliveable leftist hellholes are siding with terrorists. Anyone who's even the slightest bit shocked hasn't been paying enough attention.

The rioters. Don't let the enemies determine the rules of engagement, please do not call them "protestors".
Muh insurance.
I hated that justification.
Perhaps someone should educate the rioters about the reality of owning a business. I do not know that it would work, though.
rioters. you mean rioters
So this is a BLM bailout since they were going bankrupt under the guise of a court 'police injuries' settlement?
Gotta pay your shock troops for services rendered somehow.

I know it’s futile but can the media stop calling them racial justice protests. They even said in court race had nothing to do with it
Of course not. The narrative is all that matters, above all else. It's the only purpose these propaganda outlets have.
should be the other way around.
