I am a Bills fan and I hope he sues the shit out of them, though he probably doesn't have a leg to stand on, unless management was literal retards in cutting him
Depends what reasons they gave. If they cited the conduct policy in their dismissal he'd have a case since he wasn't involved and they didn't wait until the facts were out. Could be wrongful termination.
The problem is that would kill his NFL career or what is left of it, he could return now although he'd get paid minimum.
“We just think it’s the best move for everyone to move on from Matt and let him take care of this situation,” Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane said.
In most states, you can be fired for any reason except civil rights stuff. All of your actions are fair game. IANAL. They didn't slander him. They almost make it sound like he's ok with it, but I doubt that.
Sports leagues are specifically protected under monopoly law so I hardly know what to say. Athletes can get screwed easily. At least they have a union on their side.
He can sue the whore who falsely accused him. There wouldn't be any money in it but the judgement would follow her for life since it can't be discharged in bankruptcy.
There was always something fishy about this case. I thought he might have been involved (football player so you know the stereotype) but stuff kept coming out that slowly weakened the story. Her lying and saying that she was 18 initially certainly made me believe there could be more to the story. Good on him for beating these charges.
This is for the civil case I believe. They didn't prosecute him because of a lack of evidence. Regardless his life was ruined over a lying promiscuous woman.
I hope he sues the fuck out of the Bills for cutting him. Take their asses to court and make them pay publicly.

They said exactly what they were doing.

Yeah. It was totally the best move for Matt, right?

His accuser should be facing the same punishment he was.
She never could have had an NFL career to lose, so even if they take everything from her, she will have lost less.
Send her to jail for 20 years or longer. Mark her as a lying whore forever on every search that comes up.

And nothing will happen to the whore that ruined the life of an innocent man.
