I think the exact moment we started going wrong was when we decided every possible human activity or stylistic aesthetic needed a bipartite name as if it was a fusion music genre.

I'd argue that creating a new subgenre of music every time a new song comes out - like we seem to do nowadays - is retarded as well.

Welcome to the creative, color-blocking, accessory-rich world of Disneybounding, a practice that allows Disney adults to channel their favorite characters, experiences or objects without running afoul of the company’s no-costume rules for grownups. Outfits are inspired by characters but use everyday clothes.

Why won’t Disney let adults wear costumes? Are they afraid some drag queen dressed as Cinderella is going to be mistaken for an employee at the resorts?!

Why won’t Disney let adults wear costumes?

Because they don't want visitors false-flagging them. Most people would wear costumes just for the fun of cosplay, but Disney clearly doesn't want to deal with bag snatchers, predators and unfunny pranksters using their actors and the other costumed guests as cover.

Security Officer: We have a report of a 300 pound male with a beard dressed as Snow White who was caught taking pictures of little boys in the bathroom

Control: Can you be more specific, there’s hundreds of fat bearded Snow Whites

They don't want anyone muscling in on their fondle territory.

(mainly gay men)

Gay men pretending to be women or just gay men?

Can we have a "Disneybounding Weekend" with free admission for guys dressed like this then just build a wall around it overnight like they popped up the Berlin wall?

Just another lazy attempt at Disney to court the Alphabet mafia using Twitter socialites.
