Well that and it’s 24 dollars a month to one of the worlds richest men. I’d assume traffic wise they are worth it, so if they really wanted to “rebel” they’d delete their twitter. However this sets a bad precedent for those that were willing to pay and now will wtf.

Zero dollars, but I won't fight you over it.

IMO those people don't care. Unless they run an actual business, they're just influencers who see that blue checkmark as clout, regardless of whether they deserve it or not.
Paying for a blue checkmark was only a good thing for people who had actually earned it, but were being denied for having the wrong opinions, although Elon could've done that himself if he were truly benevolent.
Everyone else who paid for it is just a filthy casual trying to make it as an influencer, which is a disease in today's culture.
No, he didn't. I've kept tabs on his account for this very issue.
Before you think I'm a weirdo, it came up in an argument recently as to whether Trump was paying for Twitter even though he hadn't used it since being unbanned. It was just today his blue checkmark no longer shows up.
Personally, I just found out today about "Twitter Legacy" and "Twitter Blue" (the former being the free checkmark), but I always suspected that lots of these people weren't paying for their blue checkmarks.
"paying" in quotes because there's no cost to adding, or maintaining, an HTML element to the side of their name.

I think he's saying that he pays basically himself for their accounts.
Are you sure he isn't being sarcastic?
Fun fact: Trump's account lost verification, but Obama's account still has it. I don't believe for one second that Obama paid for Twitter Blue.
I don’t think Trump wanted to come back to twitter.
Trump lost his when Elon banned Truth Social links.
