I don't trust any poll because polls are generally a tool to influence public opinion not measure it.
However it should be obvious to anyone that is still sane that DeSantis would do better than Trump in a general election because DeSantis doesn't have Trump's baggage and he doesn't have Trump's tendency to shoot himself in the foot by saying stupid things that can easily get taken out of context.
We don't need any polls to know that DeSantis is clearly more electable than Donald Trump.
Donald Trump has the baggage of being the first person to lockdown the country as he allowed Fauci to run the country.
Trump tweeted "Law and order!" impotently while BLM burned down cities.
Trump also is regarded as being primarily responsible for J6 by normies.
Normies also think Trump's "stop the steal" movement was denying the results of the 2020 election.
Trump also has a history of making unnecessary retard comments like they should think about nuking hurricanes to change the trajectory of them.
Trump also has a long history of hiring so incompetently that his hires ALL end up betraying him in a short period of time.
I often see Trump 2024ers making the braindead argument that 2024 is just 2016 again.
You really think Trump with all of this new baggage will magically get MORE votes?
Not a chance in hell that he would do better now.
In the past DeSantis would be better for that reason, but today with mainstream media totally controlled and unified it's a different story.
They will make anything bad even if it's not a gaffe or easily taken out of context.
Difference is Trump's "gaffes" are forcefully conveyed and that makes the media spin make it sound over-the-top absurd, then people say "he didn't really say that did he?!" and they doubt it, some look it up and find out the media was lying. Nobody even half sane believe anything the media says Trump said.
But DeSantis they just say he signed "Don't Say Gay" and people could see him doing that. DeSantis is smarter and more sensible, but easier for this media to lie about and be believed. So it's hard to know who is the better candidate these days.
I recently learned about actual science of interstellar travel by detonating fucking nuclear weapons behind spaceships or something. I thought someone was joking but no, it's real.
