Original ‘Super Mario Bros’ actor John Leguizamo to boycott reboot because of lack of diversity: ‘Hell no!’
Original Luigi John Leguizamo slams casting in 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie': 'They could’ve included a Latin character. Like I was groundbreaking and then they stopped the groundbreaking'
Such a humble person.
Or just fat.
He's not "the original luigi" he's just a failed actor of the failed live action mario movie from the 1990's.
If anyone’s the original Luigi it’s Danny Wells.
Or maybe this guy I guess…
I wonder if the guy's aware that he was the first (non-Japanese, probably) person to ever play Luigi, either in live action or voiced. Assuming he's still alive, of course. Atari mary-o brothers came out forty years ago. He's probably in his late 70s by now.
If "Mario" is big on your credit list, yeah, you're not that big. Not a serious production though, and Mr Leguizamo has done work.
It definitely damaged Hoskins' career.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Hook to a cameo in Spice World.
Bruh, why are you even proud of that movie? Did you have absolutely no better roles since then?
It cemented his niche as the forever side-kick. Dude is one of the main character's sidekicks in basically every role .
not just any sidekick, Hispanic gangster sidekick
I really wish they would stop reporting the opinions of whores on any subject, but I'm sure this easy clickbait gives them the most bang for their buck regarding advertising revenue so. Regardless, Mario and Luigi are already "latin" characters.
Italy is Latin? I know that it comes from the language, but Frenchmen speak a Latin-based language, too, and no one calls them Latin.
Latin Europe, referring to where the Romance languages are spoken. Although it's not commonly called that.
I might argue that Italian is latin... I don't know that much about it though. But that's still not the way the term is used.
You were a sidekick in a shit movie and if this movie were not giving you an opportunity to have journos publicize you, nobody would even remember your fucking name, you utter nobody.
And we're supposed to care because....
Benicio Del Toro would have a word...
