None. That's the point. There are no actual verifiable details of his life. Folk tales about a city made of gold millennia ago.
Even if that's the case, its still enough of a story to make movies and shows about. We have plenty about American Folk stories, which usually are great places to teach people history in the background.
El Dorado has been done to death is the thing. El Dorado with blacks wouldn't make it's marketing budget back.
