I was typing up a longer post to explain what was happening but KiA2 decided to eat that so fuck it. Read the thread and see how Reddit is further killing their platform to chase NFTs.
If you were using the compact feature before you will need to update to old.reddit.com/.compact in order to keep the function.
Old.reddit should remain untouched but then the change to compact doesn't look like it was meant to go ahead yet, or that's a flimsy excuse being given to cover undocumented changes which is a staple of many companies these days because it prevents any discourse leading up to said changes.
You know it's bad when even people who clearly have design and programming experience in their own thread are bashing the fuck out of it. Same thing is happening on minds where we're all just trolling every fuck up they make because they clearly don't know how to code.
What social media companies often do now is try to repackage old features that have existed for years, do some minor tweaking and re-release it as if it's new and expect everyone to get hyped up about it. All they do is piss everyone off and make them search for something else. The hyped features either aren't that impressive or they constantly keep breaking shit.
I've noticed even on youtube which should at least have some expertise still left they're doing some really odd stuff. Editing posts now seems to somehow freeze the browser a bit depending on the size of the post and so on, it's all cancer.

Also Reddit: Boston Bombing manhunt.
"Community-verified."
People believed Piltdown Man for HOW long?
Kinda true, because google has become shit. How many searches do you do every day where it auto tacks on "reddit" at the end?
What, are they now sending CP straight to the inbox of anyone who subscribes to the tranny subs?
Based on the preview image they basically just ripped off the layout of Youtube. It looks exactly like Youtube, except for the name.
I hope the bottom right of the preview image is a sign of things to come for Reddit.
This is why I still use old reddit

Wow, that's utter cancer. I hate current year "UX specialists" so goddamn much. Although they're ruining peddit, so good, I guess.
Anyway, just do the goddamn IPO already so I can grab a cider and watch you crash and burn. Now is just about the perfect time to do it, trust me.
Does this mean I'm going to have to update my URL listing to old.old.reddit.com/r/sysadmin or what?

This year we put a "12" on the box.
