Gabbard isn't a neocon but the same party-switch dynamic from a "rational moderate" applies. At the same time she's lifted up by people on the Right as a shining example of the insanity of the Left scaring sane people away, she will be scheming to drag conservatives toward modernity, shed the far-right extremists, and appeal for centrism and unity. The ratchet ticks left.
The only take from her that is anti-establishment at all is her anti-war stance.
For a Democrat, she is very anti-establishment. Relatively pro-gun, anti-war, anti-troonery.
But I think looking at issues is a mistake. Your allies are not the people who agree with you on everything, but people who have courage to stand up to the regime. It's what Havel pointed out as well..
