Wanna know how tuned out of capeshit I am? When I read "Shazam 2" my brain autocorrected it to "Kazaam 2" and I was legitimately sad that they fucked up everyone's favorite rapping genie. Once I realized my mistake I felt nothing, because why would I be surprised to see shit in a sewer?
To reiterate, yes, I had no trouble believing that they made a sequel to a universally loathed movie from 1996.
I saw an MSM article whining that Last of Us Episode 3 (ie gay flashback episode) was the lowest rated one. It's not even properly part of the series, and no one asked for it. There's also barely any fighting in it. It makes sense it would have the lowest ratings.
Shockingly, romances aren't my favorite genre even when they involve two straight people. I'm guessing that's true of most of the audience signing onto a sci fi I guess horror show.

I'd love a Kazaam 2.
Actually I'd love if instead of all this Marvel shit they just did sequels to oldschool films like Blankman and Mystery Men.
If you hadn't posted this reply I was gonna go on thinking they made a fat gay black genie movie.
That sucks, because I liked the first one.
Same. They took the New 52 version and made it work.
But they had to go woke.
Everything woke turns to shit.
They copied Chronicle and loosely adapted/shoehorned the short New 52 version into it.
There are only so many plots.
Everything has been done.
Can you do what's common...uncommonly well?
The New 52 run had Black Adam as the villain, with that other guy but a lesser evil. It would have made sense to focus on Shazam versus Black Adam.
Dwayne Johnson wanted Black Adam to face Superman. Not "some B-lister."
Therefore, Black Adam will face Superman. Not "some B-lister."
Or he would have, had the Black Adam movie been/done better.
Blame Dwayne Johnson's ego. He didn't want Black Adam to look weak or vulnerable in any way, let alone be defeated.
Despite, y'know, being the villain.
Don't link to shit sites.

So far I've only heard this Geeks & Gamers livestream cover this obvious truth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwnMRU5P8Js
Should have called it 'Shazam: Too Bazinga'
