glass and aluminum are basically infinitely recyclable. paper is heavily recyclable. everything should be packaged in one of these three. plastic reserved only for things that require vacuum/airtight seals for freshness.
The best way to recycle glass is to dump it in your local subduction zone. It's more energy intensive to recycle glass than it is to make new glass.
you just wash it or melt it down what's so energy intensive about that
the crushing, sand is already crushed.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to just clean it out and re use it than recycle? I'm just thinking about glass bottles like some drinks companies use, if you could just hand them back for small change and then all they need to do is clean them then they can re use then, that's probably an easier process.
