The show definitely has gone downhill. I really was disappointed they didn't go after the "peaceful protests" or covid hysteria harder. They certainly mocked Trump which is fine but they were pretty weak about mocking the left.
As I said, they are NO WHERE near the level of old South Park where after 9/11 they immediately started mocking them but they haven't gone as bad as your Simpsons at least
Yea I’ve watched the Simpsons since Tracy Ullman days. I feel like they could’ve had a resurgence had they mocked that stupid comedian who whined about Apu (I hear Apu is quite popular in India but of course that doesn’t matter). But Simpsons is far from what they once were. Agree with you that South Park hasn’t fallen as far. South Park, King of the Hill, Family Guy, Futurama, and duckman for honorable mention will always have my love for the good times.
Hard agree! They have been around for over 30 years, everyone associated with the show has fuck you money to tell some two-bit comedian to kick rocks, and they still caved. I guess they’re just part of it, where “it” is everything wrong with Hollywood nowadays
I've just got the new ATHF movie but haven't watched it yet. I'm a big fan of the voice actor who plays Shake, so I also quite like Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell even though it's not animated.

I feel the same way about most of the SNL cast. It's sort of a cultural cliche that SNL is worse every year, but it's really bad IMO.
