Looks like whamyn are taking a bigger roll, alongside wearing pants.

How did I ever survive without endless race swaps, massive lgbt overrepresentation, and girl power to the max?
Happily, probably.
You got a link to this supposed nonsense? I know RE4 inside & out and without any context this ties the line between gameplay expansion & outrage bait
Yeah, of all things adding more Ada to RE4 is entirely possible to be just fanservice given her popularity. Separate Ways basically already did this and was included in every version of the game sans the gamecube original.
I wouldn't even be surprised if its meant to be an actual improvement that then becomes a woke battlefield by the journos and outrage baiters blowing it up. Even the "tiny wahmen saves our dumb protag with her impossible skills" was basically her entire character across both RE2/4 and will likely now be a sticking point against the game.
You just know Ada's some Capcom exec's waifu a la Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Just look at the retarded overarching plot of RE6, where some Illuminati fed guy cloned Ada and she tried to end the world as a result.
I don't doubt it, but at least people liked Ada at first. Lightning had to be forced, and she was still removed entirely from her second game after the tutorial.
Found an article here, I don't think it's where OP is from: https://archive.is/17boX
Edit: I guess I did get the right article. OP is from a news aggregating site called n4g.
Ok so after watching the interview there’s no real meat to how “big” her role is. In the original her plot line ties into a lot of the big picture stuff happening while Leon is rescuing Ashley & also how las plagas ends up in Africa during RE5. Additionally she does save him a few times in the game & he does as well so there’s that. Obviously there are dialogue changes that have already been covered but until I see more details I’m still skeptical.
Also that being said she wears tight leather pants during RE6 & that was made prior to 2014
More Ada with bigger cans is a compromise I'm willing to accept.
I don’t play games very much these last five years or so (got three young kids, no time, etc.) so a lot of my knowledge of games now comes via stories shared here or on Reddit.
But it’s starting to seem to me like the ACTUAL reason Hogwarts Legacy sold like gangbusters is that it was an actual original game instead of a remake. Seriously, it seems like that’s all I hear about: remake of this, remake of that, remake of t’other. I’m sort of joking, but sort of not, really.
Pretty sure these remakes sell very well.
I think the appeal for a lot of people is escaping into the past in order to ditch the woke AAA content.
Of course, the leftists are in charge of the remakes, too, so now we’re seeing woke “updates” to all of our favorites.
"But muh Japan is based!"
They're selling to the West in a global market. Nobody anywhere wants these changes, except the games "journalists" they want to advertise their product.
Women want these changes, and nobody wants to be the next Activision.
Ada is one of the most popular characters of the game, and the first thing added to the first port was an entire campaign featuring her. On top of the mini campaign it already had for her.
