Tempted to put out my usual "looking forward to not watching this" blurb but if they're going to shoehorn a Stronk independant Wahman of Color ™ into the part it may be so bad it's actually good.
I'm conflicted. May need to rock the eye-patch and yell "avast!".
If the CGI wasn't... early it would've been a simply underwhelming sequel. There were a few redeeming elements (like Bruce Campbell's appearance) but otherwise it lacked the charm and originality of Escape from New York.
New York has some really bad scenes too, direction and acting of the one on Air Force One is like from Plan 9 From Outer Space.
His take on Who Goes There (The Thing) is an almost perfect movie tho (wish they did the original ending before they run out of time and money). I watched this film so many times, first time when I was like 10 and it's still so good.
Carpenter's The Thing is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I could rant for an hour about why it's so great, but I'm about to go watch Escape From New York.
They’ll just have Viola Davis reprise her Wahman King role in New York modern day and call it good.
And of course not liking it makes you the new Jefferson Davis.
If it were written by someone who wanted to coom to a gigastacy femchad, it would work.
But it will be written by a marxist who only cares about 'the message'.
“Sheath Pisskin? I heard you were dead.”
Lol you did good
"Gender swap" really is a signal of no imagination being involved in the process.
Snake?
Snake?
Snaaaaaaaaake!
Of course.

You lost me so hard at "reboot" that I could barely hear "gender swapping" from my place in the void.
What a surprise. Escape from Women's Delusions!
How to say flop without saying it's a flop.
If that’s the case I won’t be watching it
His Ghost of Mars, which was supposed to be the third Snake film, was total garbage.
(Escape from LA wasn't any good too.)

EFLA was more of a comedy than anything else. Once I realized that, I kind of enjoyed it for what it was, but it didn't hold a candle to EFNY.
