As a kid I was a big fan of MLK and then I got older I learned about his womanizing and other moral issues. Then as I got older I reached a point where I just stopped reading about him because the more I learned the more disgusted I became. If anyone has watched the Uncle Tom movies that Larry Elder produces, the most recent one talks about the marxist infiltration of the civil rights movement and it looks like the next one is going to talk about MLK and his influences based on how the last one ended. I did learn about what the OP posted a few years ago.
I personally follow the "judge by content of character" philosophy as a Christian because despite knowing about statistics and demographic data I'm willing to give any individual a chance. I'm also all for people getting an equal opportunity but that involves getting rid of things like affirmative action or firing people who think that a company should reflect the population because that makes as much sense as the diversity for the sake of diversity mindset.
I'm tired of the anti-white hatred and a blind man could see it. I keep pointing out that everyone who is "oppressed" in America or any other western country never seems to want to go find the non-white paradise of their choosing.
I really wish Booker T Washington was revered like MLK is. But he is attacked to this day even though he called out race grifters and stressed the importance of learning a skill and being the best you can be. Amongst other things.
While I may have a pollyana style optimism, as much as I would love to see the world join hands and sing about peace and brotherhood I fully believe that voluntary segregation or integration is fine. Granted people only get upset if whites choose to associate with each other but the fact remains that you shouldn’t force people together who don't want to associate or you shouldn't force people apart who want to associate.
True. I remember a black guy called in and was angry because Larry was talking about the disproportionate crime rate and how that needs to be addressed instead of endlessly discussing white supremacy. He was also going over interracial crime stats and said that is a serious issue, but of course he is the white supremacist.

I do this too, but not until after I get to know more about a stranger. I'm a lot less willing to relax around a Black stranger (especially one who dresses like a hoodrat) than I am around an Asian. Stereotypes exist for a reason after all.
Stereotypes exist for a reason indeed. I remember a study they did where they asked people who they considered a thug and showed them photos of people across all races. The ones who dressed like a hood rat regardless of race were called thugs. So just like stereotypes are there for a reason, perception is reality so like you said a black dude dressed like a hood rat won’t get the same benefit of the doubt as a black dude dressed nicely.
While serving as treasurer of the American Jewish Congress in Manhattan, he aided in the defense of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. During this period, he worked for a variety of liberal causes.
Levison was instrumental in all the activities of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), the organization established by Dr. King and other Southern black preachers to further the cause of civil rights. Though King had offered to pay Levison in exchange for his help, Levison refused on every occasion, as he believed "the liberation struggle is the most positive and rewarding area of work anyone could experience."
Levison professionalized the fundraising of the organization and took on many of the publicity tasks, in addition to serving as Dr. King's literary agent. He was also a close adviser to Dr. King and a ghostwriter for him. Levison co-wrote with Clarence Benjamin Jones one of the drafts for Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech
One of MLK's closest friends and confidants had a history of literal communist activities. It speaks to the futility of conservatives that the modern day ones are MLK stans. It's even funnier when they say it's communist to be critical of (the mythologized and sanitized version of) MLK's philosophy.
It's also an indictment on the Civil Rights mythology. The myth is that it was a black struggle for liberation. It wasn't. It was just the subversion of White America by a fifth column. Nothing will get better until people let go of world views design to subvert them.
In the early 1950s, the FBI considered Levison to be a major financial coordinator for the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and began to monitor his activities. The FBI had him under the surveillance of Jack and Morris Childs, two former CPUSA members who became FBI informants. According to the FBI, Levison's CPUSA activities ended in 1957. In 1978, one year before his death, Levison asserted "I was not nor am I now a member of the Communist Party."
I haven't seen it yet, but John Doyle did a video last year titled The Erased Truth about MLK & the Civil Rights Movement. It was brought to my attention due to some people comparing it to Razorfist's video on Lincoln.
Heh, I knew this was going to be Spangler.
Birmingham was George Floyd. The dogs were Chauvin. The Civil Rights movement was BLM. More people need to get this.

Uh oh, that's gonna be spicy. They don't call Larry Elder the Black White Supremacist for nothing.

Reminds me of the Successful Black Man meme. :)
Ha! Love it!

Happy MLK Day!
What are the 'communist activities'? Were the Rosenbergs not entitled to a legal defense?
Of course Levison was communist. He's a kike.
THE ONLY REASON YOU SHOULD BELIVE THAT WE HAVE COMMUNIST KIKES ON THIS BOARD IS THE AMOUNT OF DOWNVOTES THIS POST RECEIVES
oops ... I showed my power-level ... that means no more kikes will downvote it until much later. ............... 6:2 as of 01/18/2023
You should have quoted that instead.
But we both know why you picked this guy.
I really wonder when you will come to the realization that shaming people for racism or anti Semitism or whatever on this board just doesn't work.
