As someone who views Russia as an enemy and a threat to the West, I'm happy to have the Ukrainians fighting to stop the Russians instead of Americans. They do a very good job of it, and the amount of money the US has a spend is a tiny fraction of what it costs to actually deploy the US military to do anything.
I do think the EU should be paying a bigger share, though. The main freeloaders here are the EU member states, not Ukraine. The US pays about 2/3 of Ukraine military aid, and we should only be paying 50% at most.
I think the main reason globohomo is against Russia is because of the whole "Russia stole the election for Trump in 2016" cope they kept lying about. The Left has had a huge grudge against Russia ever since.
But if you rewind to 2008 when Russia invaded Georgia, the Democrats didn't give a shit at all, and kept trying to kiss Russia's ass. So I don't think they really care.
The EU cared, particularly eastern europeans, because they felt directly threatened and thought if Russia won, they'd be next.

Globohomo is also a pretty big threat to "the west" and globohomo is 100% behind Ukraine because it's a nice money laundering conduit.
