I mean, they're not entirely wrong.
What happened to the indigenous people is a shining example of what happens when you are unable or unwilling to repel illegal aliens from your land. When you're too busy infighting among different tribes to pay attention to the real invasion.
There are lessons here to be learned, but those lessons are not "deification of indians"
The Native Americans allowed open borders for all because diversity was their strength!
Oh, make no mistake, many of the tribes were more than willing to accept the settlers who were willing to sell them guns and beast of burden. Hell, many of them were totally fine if it meant the other tribes who were fucking around finally got the chance to find out.
