I saw the drama and it seems more of an inverse of the Mick Gordon situation.
With Mick Gordon, he was set up to be the fall guy and tarnish his reputation by Id and Bethesda (a lot of it seems to have come from Marty and it's suggested that he was jealous of Mick's attention thanks to the Doom Soundtrack), the recent release of receipts by Mick showed this.
Hellena Taylor by comparison lied about how much she was offered, tried to manufacture a boycott and then the receipts came out against her. This latest 'grift' sounds like an attempt to carry favour again after she tanked her own reputation.
I don't like abortion but I don't need some figurehead to point to supporting my dislike of abortion.
Didn't think much of it at the time, but apparently she has evil wrong-think, so I'll just assume from this point forward that any negative "news" I hear about her is just your average smear job.
I really didn't read into it much. It sounded like a big nothing burger to me. Pay disputes between talent and producers isn't something I care to worry about because a) it doesn't affect me and b) I'll never actually know who said/did what.
If that was relevant to any part of what happened she would have brought it up.
Instead she just openly lied, tried to get a cancel mob going for her own monetary gain, and then was caught doing so. All smearing against her is justified on those facts alone. If someone brings up her politics, they should be dismissed as trying to muddy shit up.
I honestly doubt that was the reason. She lied about the amount of money she was offered, she lied how the situation went down and she attacked Jennifer Hale.
ehh idk, this kinda reeks of when minorities play the race card after getting fired for unprofessional behavior. I even saw people suspect her whole stunt was a feminist ploy of trying to insinuate a wage gap conspiracy within the VA industry.
She lied about how much she was getting payed while breaking NDA. That's reason enough for her to get fired regardless of what her views are.
I mean, its not a bad strategy. It already worked by getting it posted here and OP ready to call all future things "smear jobs" against her.
Because people haven't realized that these "celebs" aren't stupid, and can see how easy the outrage mob is to bait in both directions. Shit Candace Owens has made a huge career out of it.

Yeah, I've totally been played. I went from not caring about a pay dispute that didn't affect my life or anything else that matters (even if she lied) to still not caring about a pay dispute that didn't affect my life or anything else that matters (even if she lied), and also assuming that further accusations against her are probably not worth my time either. I don't know what's going on in her life, I don't know why she'd do a dumb thing like lying to the internet, and I just don't care. It's not fucking news.
And if it matters, I enjoyed Bayonetta 1 and 2, and am also a fan of Platinum in general, although I do feel more and more like I'm just playing Viewtiful Joe over and over again in fancier tech.
Agreed. And victim grifters like her need stories like this to be posted around so they can claim more victim status, due to getting themselves ostracized from the industry for their own retarded actions.
Considering that the bitch is a proven liar who tried to run a public smear campaign over payment dispute (also throwing other VAs under the bus), why the fuck should I take anything else she says at face value?
No, she can go fuck herself. She pissed in her bed and now she can lie in it.
I’d be a lot more sympathetic to her if she came out for those reasons instead of lying about a pay dispute.
Fair enough, but this isn't even news worth reporting except in the context of a smear job. "Person supports mainstream political cause" isn't news.

Can we just get the reeducation camps up and running and be done with it? I can't take the edging.
Yeah, they couldn't even get through the subtitle without injecting their bias.
Ok and how many gaming companies made statements that we’re pro abortion? Or pro BLM? Also weren’t they mad about Bayonetta being straight?
I honestly doubt that was the reason. She lied about the amount of money she was offered, she lied how the situation went down and she attacked Jennifer Hale.
We know. That should already be enough to ruin her career. That's not enough for them, apparently.

Abortion kills babies.
When you talk to a kid you don't tell them there's a fetus in mommy's belly. People routinely ask about "the baby."
When you do an abortion you're killing something. And that something is a baby. So it's not inaccurate.
If you want to be all "it's a fetus" then whatever. You are also correct.
