Yeah, I have a feeling this is all a load of bullshit. This whole "article" reads like a hack's attempt at a trashy romance novel, and the husband is the stereotype of every modern day woman's ideal perfect man (he's a doctor, he's an athlete, he reads up on X studies, he helps the less
fortunateprivileged)And of course travels frequently and goes on vacation pretty much all the time...despite graduating college as a "writer," which is not going to pay the big bucks for you out the gate, and having a husband who works "non-stop" but isn't even a doctor yet.
This whole article is basically like you say, a female masturbation fantasy
There really isn’t much talk about womens’ ‘romance’ (porn) novels leading to unhealthy expectations about relationships and men like there is with typical male porn consumption.
Typical male porn is considered much more taboo, and depicts (mostly) real women in the videos. However, not only is typical female novel-porn much less taboo and easily accessible (women can consume their porn in a Barnes & Noble, ffs), it is fantasy from start to finish. The women that write those novels depict the literal ideal perfect man. Women read these novels and are consistently presented this fantastical, perfect man. It leads these women to having unhealthy expectations and standards of men in actual reality. I would argue much more so than men and their typical porn.
Everything feminists accuse men's entertainment of being (not just porn, all entertainment period) applies more fully to female entertainment. Female entertainment is what tends to encourage women to set unrealistic expectations for men. Female entertainment tends to treat male characters as prizes to be won (or more often than not, manipulated and disposed of). Female entertainment romanticizes terrible behaviors like stalking, abuse, adultery, and rape. And it's female entertainment that, well, depicts men in ways that don't reflect actual male behavior and shows the writer doesn't understand them at all (aka "Women writing men."). And as you say, female porn is easily accessible for people of all ages, unlike male porn, which is always hidden behind closed doors.
Man, Imp would have a field day with this one.
As you say, this is fantasy, she finds the perfect man...and still cheats on him in the fantasy, and completely cucks and emasculates him.
Yikes.
She must be trying to justify herself. She feels guilt.
Unless James is black, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say James doesn't exist.
Since this is some teenage level female romance fiction that's clearly fake, is ALL female fiction about being taken and dominated by a stronger man? It's always repackaged into different settings and scenarios but it seems to be the underlying thread.
Don't forget all the cucking and dominating of the wholesome men, too.
They think 'if a man steals the lover of another man and that man can't fight back and has to accept it, he's the strongest so the most attractive man'
...which is bullshit and every guy can agree to that who isn't a psychopath. The 'strongest man' differs based on their attributes but if they cannot inspire trust and comradery then they are weak as they will always die alone.
Archive you faggot. Don't make u/ThatsAlright do all the work.
Paging Imp1, paging Imp1
How come the media is filled by women clearly lying to other gullible women?
so they can normalize things like cuckoldry to further break apart society, particularly the family unit
Who owns the media?
tales from the land of make believe
She heard the voices in her head as she swallowed the tour boat whole.
What an impossibly ridiculous story. Does this woman, by chance, write for the Hallmark Channel?
