Yeah I think people here are Flanderizing the "ALL IS GRIMDARK AND WAR IN THE FUTURE" trope. The Warhammer civilization is vastly larger in scale to ours and has a wide range of settings to choose from. W4K wiki says "the Imperium of Man consists of over one million inhabited worlds". Many of them are "forgotten" planets and Feudal Worlds that are protected from war and Chaos. In this particular game's story and setting (a prison ship), all women looking like dirty meth-addled mutants might make sense, but that's not an absolute truth for 40k.

Nope for every throwback you've got the Sisters of Battle or the average Guardswoman both can be attractive.
