Yeah I think people here are Flanderizing the "ALL IS GRIMDARK AND WAR IN THE FUTURE" trope. The Warhammer civilization is vastly larger in scale to ours and has a wide range of settings to choose from. W4K wiki says "the Imperium of Man consists of over one million inhabited worlds". Many of them are "forgotten" planets and Feudal Worlds that are protected from war and Chaos. In this particular game's story and setting (a prison ship), all women looking like dirty meth-addled mutants might make sense, but that's not an absolute truth for 40k.
if the OP pick is anything to go by, they still look like women. Older and ugly woman who've been punched into face a couple of times in their lives, but women.
I mean, thematically it makes sense. 40K is a grim dark universe, there's nothing pretty about it
Lol 40k has a lot of pretty things. The Imperium is an army of ornate Roman embossments and walking cathedrals, the Emperor is an archangelic icon

Nope for every throwback you've got the Sisters of Battle or the average Guardswoman both can be attractive.
Look at even the women from the Necromunda shithole.
Tell that to a Callidus assassin.
The anus is a dark grim universe, and there's nothing pretty about it, and yet....
