I'm an unvacced O neg (universal donor). I'm a bit concerned that I'm going to be chained up in some rich person's pool house and drained every eight weeks.
Feeling optimistic there I see. They will flood us with nutrients to speed up that cycle as much as possible and/or clone O- hosts should the technology permit it.
Honestly it's more likely Pfizer is going to be introducing a new line of artificial blood to "fix" their problem. Of course it'll destroy the users ability to create more red blood cells so they'll have get a subscription for a weekly transfusion.
Yeah, they just reduced the time you have to wait to donate platelets from two weeks to one week. They could easily drop the time for whole blood to four weeks with no issue, potentially less. They're actually loosening a lot of restrictions related to donating blood products recently.
I just recently read that there's a huge demand for unvaccinated blood.
Big enough that they're willing to pay donors a hefty sum for it? Because those that had to deal with a hostile society deserve no less.
Getting paid for blood donations is illegal in the EU.
If you get paid for it it ain't a "donation."
We here in the states have blood banks that pay a pittance for a pint or so . . . it is a go-to source of pennies for the destitute.
It's also illegal for the hospital to charge the patient when they use donated blood, right?
Haha, don't answer that. I think I already know the answer.

Forever.

You don't need this anymore!
EPO doping and low oxygen environments as well could cut it down to every 3 weeks.

Don't bring your magical realm here.

Enough demand that an unvaxxed-blood service is starting up.
This is hilarious, I love this. I abhor giving blood, but I would consider it for an un-vaxxed blood bank.
