It's a bit like attending the World Cup in Poland dressed as the German military.
What if I just wear Hugo boss?
Listening to Wagner and reading Nitsche
Is Alyssa Milano there?
No it isn't.
It's like the swedes and norwegians attending dressed as vikings. Which they do, all the time.
I should add that England fans dressing as crusaders isn't terribly uncommon either, but this is the first time the world cup has been held in an Islamic nation.
Japan are "the samurai blue". Tunisia are "the Carthage Eagles". Clearly, callbacks to some famous legendary figure are common to most teams (except in the Americas, I guess?), which is... As you would probably expect.
It's certainly not something one would expect anyone to take umbrage with, crusades or no crusades, lol...
A bit different to dressing up as an Obersturmführer, I would have thought...
But hey, it's Imp.
AFAIK, the crusades never came anywhere close to modern day Qatar as well.
They didn't, but whole Arab world still has a chip on their shoulder about that.
Even if the Crusades never even came close to reconquering all of their own former land that was conquered by Muslims.
Well maybe they should have stayed out of Europe first or not allowed and participated in slaughtering middle eastern Christians
I mean, even if they had gotten anywhere near where Qatar now is; at that point, there would have been... Some tents, and a few camels, maybe?
There was probably very little there, at that point, at all. Qatar ain't Egypt, and it sure as hell ain't "the Holy Land", lol...
I don’t see what’s so offensive about St George but we live in clown world
