If you can't control covid spread at your remote research base which is inaccessible for large chunks of the year then you can't control it anywhere. So stop trying to control it!
If there's something to prove in this whole ordeal, I find Australia to be the dumbest fucking country and being proud of that. They thought they were clever to act fast and vaccinate 90% of people to the experimental drug that proved to be not only ineffective but actually life-threatening. And now Australia is quietly admitting it doesn't work. Dumb motherfuckers these politicians are, they paid million dollars for this fucking snakeoil and approved the mandate.

Yes it was literally the first "fully vaccinated" cruise to set sail again after the jabs were rolled out. God tried to warn us.
