Judge Lee Rudofsky, a district court judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas and a Donald Trump appointee, signed off on the settlement, which was reached after years of litigation
Just for fun, I tried to search if the phrase "a Barack Obama appointee" is found anywhere. For a judge, that occurred in just one place, where they were describing the appointers of three different ones.
I also looked for "an Obama appointee" - and that had a lot more, but almost exclusively not judges. Where it was, it had actually something to do with Obama himself, making it relevant.
Here it's just out of the blue in order to try to discredit the judge.
It's only two but with such a clear cut case of religious discrimination under federal law, if they were office workers I'd expect more than $180K per person. It is a settlement though, and Kroger claimed it was not a Pride flag.
I don’t believe homosexuality is a proven or inherently biological factor. This belief is also held by every major medical institution worldwide, so why are they a protected class again?
The ideal outcome would be to repeal all the "anti-discrimination" law. Then the mom and pop shops can operate without anyone harassing them about baking the cake.
There's something to be said about publicly traded companies/government acting against the public conscious, and how that should be kept in check. I don't know how that would look like.
Personally I think the way "public companies" operate in the US stinks to high hell. Why are they so much more prone to going woke than private companies? It would be better if more companies aren't beholden to their shareholders.
And I would be okay with Kroger firing people opposing the rainbow flag if that means companies can start firing "unproductive" people without fear of lawsuits, or having to worry about diversity/gender quotas. Maybe there's a happy medium I'm not aware of but I'm not knowledgeable in this area.
Yeah, everytime this came up it was agreed that its not a rainbow of any sort, just the 4 colors of the corporate "pillars", and the complaint was a tilt at windmill.
The reaction to it however just ended up vindicating them anyway and was handled in the most wrong ways possible to make it a political issue instead.

The left: Damn, Trump appointed activist judge accepting settlements that has been mutually agreed upon between two parties!
Also the left: Leftist judge letting blm and antifa rioter/looters go free? This is fine 🤪
That sounds really low but I guess Kroger workers aren't worth much.
180k divided among how many employees?

90k to someone making 35k a year is a lot of money
Wow they must have done something really stupid like put it in writing or verbally tell the employees they are fired for that specific reason.
Kind of amusing the people pushing this shit are literally too stupid to even do it properly.
Glad the employees took Kroger to court for it.
I hope those of us who do not believe that homosexuality is a sin would also be protected from having to wear the symbols of the sick rainbow cult.
"Just wear the AIDS ribbon Kramer"

I think it's back to being a choice now cuz of the trannies

But that would mean Kroger can fire employees for not wearing the groomer flag.

Moslems are right about faggots.
They were actually pretty lucky to win that given the heart only has 4 colours not 6

I wonder if someone could successfully sue Microsoft for having a four-colored pride flag for a logo
"We're, uh, we're actually required to wear fifteen pieces of flair."
