They really have escalated things since 2016. Mainstream opposition politics, consisting of opinions held by at least half the country, are now routinely labeled extremism, insurrection, and a threat to “our” democracy. How can democrats ever engage with anyone in good faith ever again?

They should have an inquiry from the other side that lasts months.
